Pre Registered entries are now closed. You can however still arrive on the day and register. Entry forms will be available at the start point but to save time on the day you can download and complete an ‘on the day’ entry form to assist our registration volunteers.

Whether you are a new or regular entrant, it is our privilege to invite you to enter the 36th annual Heritage Coast Run / Walk. We are encouraging entrants to obtain sponsorship when entering to help us raise funds for our charitable work. The event also provides a platform where you can raise funds for your own chosen charity or worthy cause.

We are encouraging entrants to obtain sponsorship when entering to help us raise funds for our charitable work. The event also provides a platform where you can raise funds for your own chosen charity or worthy cause.

Three courses: 6 miles, half- and full marathon

The starting and finishing point for all three courses is situated at Thorpeness playing fields (near IP16 4LX) on the B1353 road. Free car parking, shower and toilet facilities will be provided.

A good range of refreshments may be purchased and a sports massage is being arranged. All entrants completing their course will receive a medal. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.

Start times

Start times for all routes. There has been a course change.

Route Runners Walkers
Red - 26 miles 09:15 08:00
Yellow - 13 miles 09:30 09:35
Blue - 6 miles 10:15 10:20

Facilities

There are toilets available but there is limited changing areas. Many competitors arrive and leave in running gear or change in their cars.

Food and drink is available on site. These are reasonably priced with funds going to charity. If you want food to take with you (gels, power bars, drinks etc.), you will need to bring these with you.

There are water stations available around the courses.

NOTE
We’ve unfortunately had to make a last minute change affecting the Marathon and Half Marathon courses. The course change is between Checkpoints 2 and 3a. In fact for our regular entrants the course and location of checkpoint 3 has returned to exactly where it was about three years ago.
Just to remind / emphasise that at checkpoint 3 entrants on the marathon course (red route) continue North and entrants on the half marathon course (yellow route) turn left back towards checkpoint 9.
As always the courses will be well marked with marshals at each checkpoint / water station. This change increases the full marathon course by about 15 metres and the half marathon course by about 350 metres.
